With the expansion of the Latin music market and Latin culture as a whole, my love for mixing and Latin musical expression came to shine on the turntables as more and more work requiring Merengue, Salsa, Bachata, Reggaeton, etc, began to fill my work days. Lidia De La Rosa (La Muñequita)

Description: Lidia de la Rosa AKA, "La Muñequita" is a native of the Dominican Republic and hails from a family of musicians. Early in her youth she began to play common instruments of Merengue Tipico, a genre that she continues to represent to the fullest today.

Beginning in 1989 with her first band she made headlines in her country and began a tour to the US which was gladly welcomed in NYC. Under the instruction of several other talents including her cousin, Arsenio De La Rosa (Fulanito's accordion player) she continued to broaden her horizons as a musician.

Today she boasts a unique style with an arrangement of musicians not seen in most Merengue groups and is sure to lead the Merengue Típico genre into new heights.
